Anchoring  Kalakka Povadhu Yaru Part II for the  channelVijay TV –A weekly show telecast on Fridays from 10 pm to 11 pm and again repeated telecast on Sundays  from 8 pm to  9 pm. Being a comedy programme, has become the most   popular show  of the period  and talk of the town attracting many viewers. Director Pandiarajan and Cricketer Sadagopan  Ramesh  lend appearance as judges.

 The legend writer kalki Krishnamurthy ‘s one of the popular stories  presented as a stage play  in English under the title “Rural Phantasy” ,directed by his grand daughter Mrs . Gowri Ramnarayan. Played the lead female character when the play was staged at the Kalakshetra Auditorium for the Rishi valley School Alumni.

 One of the two heroines of the tamil film MOZHI being produced by actor   Prakash Raj due for release shortly. Co starring with Jyothika, Prithviraj and Prakash Raj, directed by Radha Mohan and music scored by Vidya Sagar.

 The much talked about film in the making PERIAR- on the life of Thanthai Periar with a grant-in –aid from the Government of Tamil Nadu and directed by the “Bharati” fame Gyana Rajasekaran .  A privilege to perform a classical dance number depicting the temple dancer of Thanjavur   who was  rescued  by Periar to take   to a   normal  married life .The powerful lyrics  of  Kavingar Vairamuthu and the molodious music of Vidyasagar has embellished the dance  number.

The visit of the Miss Universe to Chennai for  presenting a ramp show  along with New York models for the cause of HIV campaign , roped in by the popular designer Sanjana John at the Park Sheratan was a  memorable event. Presented the show and the Miss Universe along with Anu Haasan.

Played the lead in a period feature film directed by national award winning director Smt.Janaki Viswanath. The film is based on Mahakavi Bharatiyar’s short story called Chandrikaiyin Kadai. Music scored by the famed violin duos Ganesh Kumaresh.

Swarnamalya's interest also extends to theatre.

Has worked and produced street plays and theru - koothu style works.

Has done plays of eminent authors like Ismat Chuktazi, etc

Her next gradual step was television.

Her popular talk show on SUN TV called Ilamai Pudumai is a run away success for the last 7 years.

Has hosted big events both for corporate as well as entertainment units like Hero Honda, etc., to Filmfare, Cinema Express, International Tamil Films Award Function at Malaysia, MGR Film Award Function at Singapore, Rajini `25', etc.

Worked in Maniratnam's hit film `Alaipayude' followed by `Engal Anna' with Prabhu Deva and many other films in Tamil, Kannada & Malayalam.

Directed short films for the college at SANJOSE State University where she studied `Acting and direction for Camera' as well as here.

Has worked in Ad films for prestigious products like Three Roses Tea, BRU, etc. with people like Rajiv Menon, Suhasini Maniratnam & others.
